AXA Signs Agreement with BNP Paribas for Sale of AXA IM
On December 21, 2024, AXA announced the signing of a Share Purchase Agreement with BNP Paribas Cardif for the sale of its asset management branch, AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM). This follows the exclusive negotiation entered on August 1, 2024, and completion of consultations with employee representatives from both groups.
The sale is a significant development in AXA's long-term partnership with BNP Paribas, according to Thomas Buberl, CEO of AXA. The transaction aims to ensure diverse investment solutions for customers. Completion is expected by the end of the second quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approval and customary conditions.
