1&1 AG Reports Steady Start for 2025, Maintains Forecast
1&1 AG has confirmed a consistent start to 2025 with steady customer contracts reaching 16.35 million, a decrease of 40,000 as planned from December 2024. The company's service revenues remained at €821.9 million, matching the previous year's first-quarter results. Meanwhile, total revenue slightly decreased by 0.6% to €1,018.5 million due to a decline in low-margin hardware revenue.
Operational challenges included a 0.8% decrease in EBITDA to €222.9 million, impacted further by start-up costs for the 1&1 mobile network, leading to a 14.5% decrease in total EBITDA. Despite higher depreciation, the firm's expectation for 2025 remains stable.
1&1 anticipates its FY2025 contract base to remain stable with service revenue consistent. However, a drop in EBITDA by 3.4% is expected due to changes in the national roaming agreements impacting their network operations.
