11th China Cangzhou Int’l Wushu Competition Concludes With Acclaims

The 11th China Cangzhou International Wushu Competition concluded Sunday in Cangzhou, north China's Hebei Province. The event, lasting three days, attracted over 4,800 martial artists and 302 teams from 32 countries and regions, including China, Russia, and Pakistan.

Cangzhou, known as the hometown of Chinese martial arts, is the birthplace of 53 martial arts styles. The competition, founded in 1989, is one of China's earliest martial arts events. Over the past decades, Cangzhou has promoted martial arts both domestically and internationally.

This year’s theme was "Cangzhou's Rendezvous with the World, Wushu and Dream Side by Side." The competition featured nine activities, including an opening and awarding ceremony, and a Wushu exchange competition. Awards were given to individuals, pairs, and groups.

Alongside the competition, the "Third China Cangzhou International Wushu Cultural Exposition" concluded. This expo attracted enterprises from across China, hosting nearly 50,000 participants.
