123fahrschule SE has agreed on a strategic acquisition of Foerst GmbH, a developer of driving simulators for various vehicles. The move, valued in the mid-six-figure range, potentially paid partially in shares, aims to finalize by July 1st. This acquisition is seen as a step ahead in incorporating simulators into 123fahrschule's training programs amid evolving driving license regulations.

The acquired technology is expected to become crucial as the driving education market embraces simulators for basic training, thus potentially tripling the market. These changes align with amendments in the learner driver training regulations allowing the use of simulators for mandatory manual lessons, addressing the shortage of manual vehicles in driving schools.

In an update on their financials, 123fahrschule reported an EBITDA of over €0.5 million in the initial four months of the year and anticipates a positive cash flow. The acquisition is forecasted not only to reduce CapEx but open new revenue streams through enhanced simulator offerings. Despite these optimistic developments, NuWays AG maintains a conservative outlook, projecting a neutral EBITDA for the year-end, reflecting typical seasonal downturns in Q4.
