Beijing Art and Technology Week Attracts 1.05 Million Visitors to 798 Art District
The second edition of the Beijing Art and Technology Week concluded with over a million visits at the 798 Art District. The event spanned three weeks and featured over 100 activities under the "Playable Technology" theme. Attendees witnessed dancers performing alongside humanoid robots and participated in reconstructing fictional mechanical beings at interactive installations.
The festival highlighted the intersection of technology and art through events such as TAO Dance Theater's collaboration with X-Humanoid robots. It also emphasized practical applications of artistic experimentation through industry conferences and international collaborations with organizations like Austria's Ars Electronica Festival.
Visitor numbers surged by 20% on the opening day compared to the previous year and saw nearly 400,000 visits during the National Day holiday, marking an 18% increase. The event signifies 798 Art District's evolution from an industrial site to a hub for technological and artistic convergence.
