A-Gas Enhances Refrigerant Reclamation Capabilities with New Separation Towers
A-Gas, a leader in refrigerant supply and lifecycle management, has announced the completion of new separation towers at its facility in Rhome, Texas. This expansion will significantly boost the supply of reclaimed refrigerant gases in the US, addressing the growing market demand.
Since 2017, the company has nearly quadrupled its separation capacity at this location, reinforcing its position as a top provider in the US reclaimed refrigerant sector. This capacity increase is crucial for complying with the Kigali Amendment and the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act, aimed at reducing hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
The expanded recovery and reclamation efforts also support the circular economy by minimizing potential global warming impacts. Mike Armstrong, President of A-Gas Americas, emphasized the commitment to circularity in refrigerants, essential for HVACR contractors and large food retailers amid the ongoing phase-down of virgin HFCs.
