ABB Ltd's Q1 2025 Financial Performance
ABB Ltd reported promising financial results for the first quarter of 2025. Orders reached $9,213 million, marking a 3% increase, with a 5% rise on a comparable basis. Revenues grew to $7,935 million, up by 1% and 3% when adjusted for comparability. The company's operational EBITA margin improved to 20.2%, with $1,597 million in operational EBITA.
Basic earnings per share saw a significant increase of 22%, reaching $0.60. Despite a slight decline in cash flow from operating activities by 6% to $684 million, ABB's free cash flow rose by 18% to $652 million.
During this quarter, ABB continued its portfolio management by acquiring Siemens' Wiring Accessories business in China and announced a planned spin-off of its Robotics division by 2026. The company aims for mid-single digit comparable revenue growth for the year, despite acknowledging increased global economic uncertainties.
