Aclara Extends High Grade Mineralisation Thickness at Carina from 6.1 meters to 11.1 meters Through a Positive Drilling Campaign
Aclara Resources Inc. (TSX:ARA) has reported results from its Phase 1 reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Carina Module in Goiás, Brazil. Conducted from November 2023 to April 2024 across 1,998 meters and 80 drill holes, the campaign confirms that mineralization extends through the regolith to the bedrock. The high-grade mineralization thickness increased from 6.1 meters to 11.1 meters.
Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) and Desorbible Rare Earth Oxide (DREO) grades were consistent with previous results. The findings will support the Phase 2 drilling campaign to upgrade inferred resources to measured and indicated categories. The Carina Module also demonstrated compatibility with existing extraction processes.
The next steps include updating the mineral resource estimate in July 2024 and the Preliminary Economic Assessment in Q3 2024. Phase 2 drilling, encompassing 15,200 meters, is set for June 2024, and further metallurgical testing will occur in H2 2024 and H1 2025.
