Aclara Resources Inc. welcomes two new members to its board of directors
Aclara Resources Inc. (TSX: ARA) has announced the appointment of Joao Miranda and Jorge Born to its board of directors, following unanimous approval from current members. Eduardo Hochschild, the chairman of Aclara, expressed his enthusiasm for these appointments, highlighting Miranda and Born's significant experience in Brazil and their commitment to sustainable production standards. These appointments come at a time when Aclara, aiming to become the cleanest producer of rare earths, is announcing positive preliminary economic results for its Carina project in Goiás, Brazil.
Miranda, who has held executive positions within the Votorantim group and Citibank, as well as Born, former CEO of Bunge and founder of Consult y Asociados S.A., will bring their experience and network in Brazil to Aclara. Aclara, a development-stage company specializing in rare earth mineral resources contained in ionic adsorption clay deposits, continues to develop its projects in Brazil and Chile, while evaluating new opportunities to increase its future production.
This announcement also supports Aclara's environmental approach to rare earth extraction, promoting a process that minimizes water consumption and eliminates the need for tailings storage facilities. The company continues to explore new production opportunities in Brazil, Chile, and Peru.
