Aconnic AG Reports Significant Growth in Q1 2024
aconnic AG has announced a 48% increase in net sales for the first quarter of 2024, reaching 72.737 million EUR. Operating earnings (EBITDA) grew from 4.187 million EUR in 2023 to 6.390 million EUR. EBIT rose by 188%, amounting to 2.697 million EUR from last year's 0.935 million EUR.
The company's growth was driven by high demand for gigabit systems and increased project and installation revenues. Significant one-off expenses from financing effects totaled approximately 3.5 million EUR and were included in the 2023 results.
aconnic operates in two main business areas: COMMUNICATION NETWORKS and CARBON CAPTURING & BIO-ENERGY. The restructuring includes renaming former brands UET, albis-elcon, suconi, and Albis Engineering under the unified brand "aconnic" and acquiring operations in Ghana.
In 2024, the company plans to plant around 2.5 million new trees. Future projects include producing climate-neutral bio-methanol from biomass starting in 2028.
