Salzburg AG Implements ADS-TEC Energy's ChargePost for EV Charging and Grid Stability

Salzburg AG has unveiled the use of ADS-TEC Energy's ChargePost, marking an industry first. This innovation facilitates ultra-fast charging for electric vehicles while supporting grid stability. It achieves this by combining up to 300 kW DC charging with 201 kWh battery capacity, and has successfully prequalified for Austria’s ancillary services market.

ChargePost's design showcases economic viability by providing bidirectional storage and intelligent energy management. This allows for peak shaving, reduced grid connection costs, and consistent full-power EV charging, even in areas with limited grid capacity. As a result, Salzburg AG plans to deploy 20 additional ChargePost systems.

This collaboration between ADS-TEC Energy and Salzburg AG highlights ChargePost's ability to offer scalable fast-charging solutions that maintain energy grid stability, opening new market opportunities for utility companies worldwide.
