ADS-TEC Energy Upgrades Convenience Stores with Ultra-Fast EV Charging at NACS Show 2024
ADS-TEC Energy plc (NASDAQ: ADSE) will unveil its ultra-fast EV charging platform, ChargeBox, at the NACS Show 2024 in Las Vegas. This compact, battery-buffered system is designed to provide ultra-fast charging without the need for costly utility upgrades, making it an attractive option for convenience stores, gas stations, and other retailers.
With up to 320 kW charging power and support for both CCS1 and NACS plugs, ChargeBox offers significant savings on peak power demand charges, potentially up to 65% compared to conventional DC chargers. This innovation not only enhances the value proposition for store owners but also attracts more customers, boosting revenue and customer dwell time.
A study by Consumer Reports in March 2024 confirms the economic benefits of EV charging for businesses, noting that 89% of EV drivers make retail purchases while charging. ADS-TEC Energy's customer, Inland Stores, reported increased revenue and traffic after installing ChargeBox systems in Tallahassee, FL.
"ChargeBox has not only met but exceeded our revenue projections," said Glennie Bench, President and COO of Southwest Georgia Oil Company. "Customers prefer our store's fast chargers and tend to spend more and stay longer."
Renato Gross, Senior Executive Vice President of ADS-TEC Energy, emphasizes that ultra-fast EV charging can transform convenience stores into essential stops for EV drivers, enhancing both customer satisfaction and store revenues.
