Africa Finance Corporation and Italian Institutions Forge Strategic Partnerships

Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has entered into a series of strategic cooperation agreements with prominent Italian partners at the AFC-Italy Business Forum in Rome. These agreements aim to bolster Africa-Italy collaboration under Italy's Mattei Plan, targeting infrastructure, energy, and industrial development across Africa.

The forum witnessed the participation of key figures, including Valentino Valentini, Italy's Deputy Minister of Enterprises. Significant agreements were reached with Italian entities such as Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and SACE to enhance infrastructure financing and project preparation. This partnership aligns with AFC's vision to transform dialogues into action, mobilizing capital and reducing investment risks.

Already, CDP has provided substantial facilities to AFC, including a EUR250 million loan. These efforts seek to strengthen value chains, create jobs, and foster sustainable economic growth in Africa. The collaboration promises to enhance both regions' economic ties, focusing on shared prosperity and long-term competitiveness.
