AGFA HealthCare Secures Major New Deal With Alliance Medical for a Comprehensive Cloud-Based Enterprise Imaging Solution in the UK
AGFA HealthCare has announced a significant new deal with Alliance Medical to implement an advanced cloud-based solution across Alliance Medical's UK sites. Powered by the AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Platform, this initiative supports the Future Unified Diagnostic Information System (FUDIS) project. The project aims to streamline the entire patient pathway and establish a long-term partnership between AGFA HealthCare and Alliance Medical.
The solution will be deployed through a phased approach starting later in 2024, covering 120 sites including community diagnostic centres, imaging sites for PET-CT, MRI, CT, and mobile units, delivering over 400,000 annual exams. Alliance Medical has been a trusted partner of the NHS for 30 years, and this partnership aims to provide long-term, sustainable diagnostic imaging solutions.
Roberto Anello, Regional President for Northern Europe at AGFA HealthCare, highlighted that the collaboration combines leading technologies in enterprise imaging, clinical decision support, workflow orchestration, and advanced augmented intelligence. These innovations are expected to enhance clinical outcomes and provide an exceptional user experience.
The solution includes AGFA’s Enterprise Imaging Platform with Shared Workflow and the XERO® Exchange Network (XEN), which enable near-real-time access to images and enhance clinical collaboration. The platform integrates with xWave Technologies' Smart Referring and Streets Heaver's Compucare® PAS/EPR, supporting both NHS and private patient workflows.
