AGRANA Restructures Sugar Segment with Plant Closures

AGRANA Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft announced significant structural changes in its sugar segment. The Supervisory Board has approved the closure of two sites: one in Leopoldsdorf im Marchfeld, Austria, and another in Hrušovany, Czech Republic, effective immediately. This decision is part of AGRANA's strategic focus on consolidating production to boost long-term stability and competitiveness.

In Austria, sugar operations will now be centralized at the Tulln site. Similarly, in the Czech Republic, production will be concentrated in Opava. Despite the closures, Leopoldsdorf will continue to function as a logistics hub. These measures reflect AGRANA’s commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in domestic sugar production.
