AGRANA's Fourth Quarter Restructuring Impacts 2024/25 Group EBIT

AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG announced that restructuring-related exceptional items in the fourth quarter have led to a reduction in the Group's EBIT for the fiscal year 2024/25. The company reported a preliminary, unaudited operating profit of €45.6 million, down from €151.0 million in 2023/24, primarily due to a net exceptional items expense of €36.4 million. These expenses stem from the NEXT LEVEL corporate strategy implementation, including impairment losses on sugar plants in Austria and Czech Republic, and reorganisation costs, notably staff expenses.

Despite these challenges, AGRANA's operating profit before exceptionals and joint ventures slightly exceeded expectations, reaching €76.5 million, higher than the forecast range of €55 million to €75 million. Moreover, the company reported preliminary revenue of approximately €3.5 billion for the fiscal year, compared to €3.8 billion the previous year.

The official annual results and report are slated for release on May 9, 2025. This announcement underscores the financial impacts of strategic restructuring on AGRANA's performance.
