AgroGeneration Faces Weather and War Challenges in 2025

AgroGeneration, based in Ukraine, reported mixed results for its 2025 harvesting campaign. The company saw a 20% year-on-year yield increase in wheat production, reaching an average of 3.0 tons per hectare. However, weather conditions impacted yields, with late spring frosts and low rainfall affecting growth. Despite these challenges, wheat quality improved, with 40% now classified as milling wheat.

The company also faced reduced soybean and late crop yields due to insufficient precipitation. Sunflower and corn development suffered from poor seed filling and uneven plant growth, respectively, largely influenced by location-based weather disparities.

AgroGeneration initiated its 2026 winter sowing campaign, focusing on diversifying crops including small areas of winter rapeseed and barley. However, war-related threats in Kharkiv, where the company operates, continue to pose substantial risks.
