AgroGeneration: H1 2024 Results and Impact of Drought in Ukraine
AgroGeneration, a grain producer in Ukraine, announces its half-year results for 2024, despite a difficult context marked by the war. Turnover reached €7.6 million, a decrease of 12.3% compared to H1 2023. However, EBITDA becomes positive again at €2.0 million, compared to -€2.8 million last year.
This improvement is the result of the sale of 2023 stocks in a context of rising prices. Despite operational difficulties due to power cuts and air raids, as well as the drought that affected crops, the Group reduced its losses. The gross margin improved significantly, from -€3.0 million in H1 2023 to €1.7 million.
The drought has reduced production volumes by 14% compared to 2023. The 2025 winter sowing campaign also shows a decrease in the area sown. The Group's net result shows a loss of €1.6 million, a slight improvement compared to previous losses.
