AI and Climate Tech in the Spotlight at Upcoming Berkeley SkyDeck Demo Day
Berkeley SkyDeck, a leading accelerator, announced that its Demo Day for Batch 18 will occur on October 1, 2024. In this event, 19 new companies will present their innovations, with a strong focus on climate tech and applied AI. August Fern, a veteran in climate tech investment, joins as the Chair of the Climate Tech Track.
Caroline Winnett, Executive Director, emphasized that Batch 18 is tackling significant issues, such as rare earth metal processing and sustainable fibers for clothing. She believes these companies have the potential for substantial growth. Fern’s expertise adds substantial value to the mentoring process of these startups.
This Demo Day follows UC Berkeley being named the world's leading university for startup founders. SkyDeck alumni, such as Hylight and Hayden AI, have already demonstrated significant success, raising substantial venture funding.
The Demo Day will take place at Zellerbach Hall, Berkeley. Accredited investors can apply for invitations to witness the next wave of innovations in climate tech and AI.
