Air France-KLM announces the final results of its takeover offer
Paris, May 22, 2024 - Air France-KLM announced the final results of its repurchase offer for two series of existing bonds, launched on May 13, 2024.
The offer was for €750 million of 1.875% bonds due in January 2025 and €500 million of 3.875% bonds due in July 2026. In total, €452.7 million was offered for purchase, i.e. 36.2% of outstanding bonds. Air France-KLM has agreed to purchase this entire sum, divided between €234.8 million for the 2025 bonds and €217.9 million for those of 2026.
The offer will be financed by the issue of new bonds of €650 million over 5 years, with a rate of 4.625% per year. This approach is part of the company's dynamic debt management, optimized by its credit ratings.
Following this operation, the total amount of bonds in circulation will be €797.3 million.
