Air France-KLM has announced its intention to acquire a majority stake in Scandinavian airline SAS. Currently holding 19.9%, Air France-KLM plans to increase its share to 60.5% by buying out Castlelake and Lind Invest stakes. This decision follows SAS's successful turnaround and the positive outcomes of their commercial cooperation launched last year.

With the Danish State maintaining a 26.4% stake, the acquisition aims to be finalized by the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. If successful, SAS will become a subsidiary of Air France-KLM, enabling full integration of business operations.

The investment aligns with Air France-KLM's financial goals and confidence in SAS's financial performance. The acquisition is expected to enhance connectivity for customers and strengthen synergy within the group.
