Air Liquide Secures €2.15 Billion Bond for DIG Airgas Acquisition

Air Liquide has issued a €2.15 billion multi-tranche bond to finance the acquisition of DIG Airgas. The bonds feature various maturities: €400 million due in 2 years with a floating rate, and fixed rates for €500 million in 4 years, €500 million in 7.5 years, and €750 million in 12 years. This strategic financial move aims to enhance Air Liquide's market presence in South Korea, benefiting from DIG Airgas's established position in the industrial gas industry.

The bond was notably oversubscribed, reflecting investor confidence in Air Liquide's business model. The transaction is executed under the Group's Euro Medium Term Note programme, achieving a weighted average interest rate below 3.00% per annum. Credit ratings of "A" and "A2" by leading agencies further underline the bond's credibility.
