Aldebaran Intercepts 742.90 m of 0.69% CuEq, Within 1,229.50 m of 0.55% CuEq at the Altar Project
Aldebaran Resources Inc. has announced impressive results from its Altar copper-gold project in San Juan, Argentina. The company reported significant mineralization across multiple drill holes, highlighting the project's potential.
Key findings include drill hole ALD-24-150EXT, which intercepted 1,229.50 meters of 0.55% CuEq starting from a depth of 10.00 meters. Notably, this included 742.90 meters of 0.69% CuEq from 377.10 meters. Other notable holes include ALD-24-245 with 735.00 meters of 0.50% CuEq and ALD-24-062EXT with 1,043.00 meters of 0.37% CuEq.
CEO John Black emphasized the Altar project's growth and highlighted that the recent drilling will provide critical data for a new resource estimate set for H2 2024. Drilling since the 2021 resource estimate surpassed 63,000 meters, focusing on the Altar United zone.
Chief Geological Officer Dr. Kevin B. Heather stated that the 2023/2024 campaign has filled gaps and expanded the footprint, ensuring a significant increase in resource size and confidence levels. These results position Aldebaran well for the upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in H2 2025.
