Aldebaran Reports Significant Drill Results at Altar Project
Aldebaran Resources Inc. has announced positive results from three drill holes at its Altar copper-gold project in San Juan, Argentina. The company's 2023/2024 field campaign has notably expanded the mineralized footprint. Drill hole ALD-24-243 is a standout, intercepting 1,517.00 meters of 0.55% CuEq, including 919.55 meters of 0.66% CuEq, extending the mineralized Altar United porphyry to the north.
Other highlights include ALD-24-129EXT with 1,047.00 meters of 0.38% CuEq and ALD-24-165EXT with 986.00 meters of 0.29% CuEq. Both holes fill gaps in the company's drilling data, critical for the upcoming mineral resource estimate set for the second half of 2024.
CEO John Black emphasized the significant impact of these results on the project's scope. Chief Geological Officer Dr. Kevin B. Heather underlined the importance of these discoveries for understanding the Altar United porphyry system.
The company has completed its current field campaign, drilling over 20,000 meters and plans to release more results soon. A webinar has been scheduled for June 19, 2024, to discuss these findings in greater detail.
