Alexander Pollich takes over the CEO role at Porsche China
Alexander Pollich will assume the role of President and CEO of Porsche China, Hong Kong, and Macao on 1 September 2024 at the earliest. Pollich, with over 23 years of experience at Porsche, has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Deutschland GmbH since 2018. He brings extensive international sales expertise to his new position in Shanghai.
Michael Kirsch, the current CEO in China, will transition to another role within the Group, to be disclosed later. Pollich has previously led Porsche's operations in Germany, Canada, and the UK, contributing significantly to the business in these regions.
Detlev von Platen, Executive Board Member for Sales and Marketing, expressed confidence in Pollich’s capabilities to further enhance Porsche's presence in the challenging Chinese market. Pollich’s tasks include implementing a value-oriented growth strategy and enhancing collaboration with local dealers.
In Germany, the market will be temporarily overseen by Karsten Sohns, CFO, and Thomas Illner, COO of Porsche Deutschland GmbH, until a successor for Pollich is appointed.
