Alibaba Cloud Introduces New Pricing Strategy and Services for Global Customers

Alibaba Cloud has announced a new pricing strategy, reducing costs by up to 59% for key public cloud products. This move supports long-term AI growth across its international data centers. The price cuts cover compute, storage, network, database, and big data products, with an average reduction of 23%.

Effective immediately, the cost reductions benefit both existing and new customers. For example, pay-as-you-go billing models for Elastic Compute Service (ECS) can see reductions of up to 30% and 59% for ECS and Elastic Block Storage respectively. Additionally, a new Object Storage Service (OSS)-Resource plan now offers a year-long 500 GB package at USD 16.99, down from USD 63.

Database products like ApsaraDB RDS and big data products such as MaxCompute now feature significant discounts on long-term packages. Additionally, users will benefit from increased free monthly usage of the Cloud Data Transfer Service, now raised from 20GB to 200GB.

Alibaba Cloud is also launching new services to boost generative AI development. These include a managed large language models service and the PAI-Lingjun Intelligent Computing Service for high-performance computing tasks, available now in Singapore.

To enhance its global partnership ecosystem, Alibaba Cloud is offering financial incentives and enhanced support for international resellers and channel partners. With 89 availability zones in 30 regions, Alibaba Cloud continues to expand its influence in the global market.
