Alstom signs major contract for 35 trains in Bulgaria

Alstom, the world leader in sustainable mobility, has signed an agreement with the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport and Communications. This contract covers the supply of 35 Coradia Stream electric interregional trains and their maintenance for 15 years. The €600 million operation marks Alstom's first project of this scale in Bulgaria. The country had not acquired new electric interregional trains for 20 years.
The trains will have six carriages, capable of accommodating over 320 passengers. Equipped with the ERTMS system, they will offer comfort, safety, and accessibility. Alstom will collaborate with RVP Invest on maintenance facilities. This project includes innovative maintenance services over 15 years, thus strengthening the modernization of the Bulgarian railway sector.
