Alta Copper Corp. Secures Key Approvals for Cañariaco Project
Alta Copper Corp. has announced two significant approvals for its Cañariaco project in Peru. The Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines has greenlit its drill permit application, while the Ministry of Culture has issued Certificates of Non-Existence of Archaeological Remains on Surface (CIRAS).
The approved permit allows Alta Copper to conduct up to 42,400 meters of phased drilling. This decision follows extensive environmental and social impact assessments and community engagement efforts by the company.
Alta Copper has strengthened community relations through active communication and involvement, aiming to secure the social license to operate. Future drilling will assess high-priority areas, with findings expected to enhance project economics, supported by recent 3D geological modeling.
