AMAG Austria Metall AG Announces Supervisory Board Changes
AMAG Austria Metall AG has announced that DI Herbert Ortner will step down as Chairman of the Supervisory Board on April 15, 2025. Ortner, who has been a part of the board since 2018 and Chairman since 2019, cited personal reasons for his decision. His departure will coincide with the conclusion of the 14th Annual General Meeting.
Alessandro Dazza, a board member since April 2024, has been nominated as his successor. Dazza brings extensive international experience to the role, having served in various industrial companies across Austria, England, and France. The official election is set for the board meeting immediately following the Annual General Meeting.
AMAG's CEO, Dr. Helmut Kaufmann, acknowledged Ortner's contributions to the company's strategic growth and expressed gratitude for his service. He also welcomed the opportunity to work with Dazza, emphasizing his expertise in raw materials and markets critical to AMAG's operations.
