Amarc Appoints Dr. Paul Johnston As Vice President Exploration

Amarc Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: AHR)(OTCQB: AXREF) announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Johnston as its new Vice President of Exploration, replacing Dr. Roy Greig who steps down but remains a consultant. Johnston, with a rich background as an executive and a geoscientist, brings extensive experience in exploration and development projects, notably in porphyry copper environments in Peru and Chile. Diane Nicolson, Amarc's President & CEO, highlighted Johnston's proven capacity in leading technical teams and his strategic role in advancing Amarc's drilling programs across its copper-gold district portfolio in 2024.

Throughout his career, Johnston has made significant contributions to mineral exploration, including his 18 years with Teck Resources where he increased the company's mining assets value in South America and identified exploration opportunities in North America. Most recently, as Vice President Exploration for Element 29 Resources Inc., he led the development of the Elida Project in Peru. Johnston holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from Queen's University and is a recognized member in professional geological communities.

The company also expressed gratitude to Dr. Roy Greig for his contributions, acknowledging his leadership during Amarc's growth phase, which involved extensive drilling and surveys in collaboration with partners Freeport and Boliden.
