American Hotel Income Properties Updates on Hotel Sales and Strategic Review

American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP (AHIP) has recently completed significant financial transactions, including the sale of the Holiday Inn Express in Fort Myers and refinancing the Embassy Suites Cincinnati RiverCenter. These moves increased AHIP's cash reserves from $21.5 million to $42 million as of September 24, 2026.

In September, AHIP signed agreements to sell five hotels, with plans to finalize a sixth agreement soon. These properties are in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida. The sales, expected to complete by late 2026, could generate $95 million in gross proceeds. Funds will be used to pay off Series C Preferred Shares and 6.0% unsecured subordinated convertible debentures.

Despite progress since the Strategic Review's commencement in May 2026, no timeline for completing the review has been set. The outcome remains uncertain, and AHIP has not committed to further updates unless necessary.
