American Potash Corp. Receives Approval for Exploration in Utah’s Paradox Basin
American Potash Corp. has secured approval from the Bureau of Land Management for its Plan of Operations, receiving 11 Prospecting Permits and authorization for 4 exploratory drill holes. This pertains to the company’s Green River Project, spanning approximately 25,480 acres within Utah’s Paradox Basin.
American Potash now has federal permits, BLM claims, and state leases covering the entire 32,530-acre Green River Project for potash and lithium exploration. With a total of 7 authorized drill holes, the company aims to validate high-grade potash and lithium brine formations.
The Paradox Basin holds historical significance as one of eight designated Potash Super Basins. Development work has revealed its potential as a major domestic lithium source. Positioned centrally in the basin, the Green River Project aims to support the US in achieving supply chain independence for these critical minerals.
