Amundi Physical Metals plc Announces Issue of New Tranche of ETC Securities
Amundi Physical Metals plc has officially announced the issuance of its 536th tranche of ETC Securities under its Secured Precious Metal Linked ETC Securities Programme. This issuance, dated 13 March 2024, includes 24,000 ETC Securities of the Amundi Physical Gold ETC. The programme aims to provide investors with a secure way to gain exposure to the price of physical gold via exchange-traded commodities (ETCs).
The issuance is part of a larger series with a total of 51,244,655.00 ETC Securities now in circulation. Each ETC Security in this tranche has an initial metal entitlement of 0.03972902 fine troy ounces of gold as of the subscription trade date. The series was initially launched on 23 May 2019, and this tranche is set to mature on 23 May 2118, adding a long-term investment opportunity into gold.
Applications have been made for the ETC Securities to be admitted to various major trading platforms including Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Deutsche Börse, Borsa Italiana, and the London Stock Exchange. This move emphasizes the broad accessibility and international appeal of the investment product. Prominent Authorised Participants involved in the offering include HSBC Bank plc, Jane Street Financial Limited, and Merrill Lynch International, alongside several others.
The securities feature a Total Expense Ratio of 0.12% per annum, indicating the low-cost nature of the investment relative to traditional physical gold investments. This issuance not only broadens Amundi's offering in the gold investment sector but also facilitates investors’ access to gold exposure with the efficiencies of ETC securities.
