Anson Resources and Koch Technology Solutions Collaborate on Pilot Testing at Green River

Anson Resources has signed an agreement with Koch Technology Solutions (KTS) to test a Li-Pro™ Lithium Selective Sorption (LSS) pilot unit. The unit will use brine from the Green River Lithium Project in Utah to produce lithium chloride, potentially for battery-grade lithium carbonate production. The initiative aims to optimize processes and verify products for a future commercial-scale plant.

The pilot unit is expected to start production in July 2024 on Anson Resources' land, operating continuously for up to four months. The pilot aims to provide detailed feasibility and cost data critical for the commercial deployment of the Li-Pro™ unit. Both Anson Resources and KTS will share the project costs, with KTS contributing through a convertible note investment.

Recent studies by KTS have indicated exceptional lithium recovery rates and improved element rejection, suggesting superior performance compared to previous feasibility studies. These findings could lead to revisions in the project's CAPEX and OPEX estimates.

This collaboration marks a significant step in fast-tracking the Green River Lithium Project, aiming to enhance project returns and meet environmental standards. The success of the pilot could lead to further investments and strengthen domestic lithium supply for electric vehicle battery production.
