Anxiety Canada and TELUS Health partner to improve access to mental health care

Anxiety Canada, an organization dedicated to destigmatizing anxiety, is collaborating with TELUS Health to make it easier for Canadians to access therapy. This alliance aims to offer virtualized counseling sessions via the TELUS Health My Care application, to help individuals better manage their condition. Judith Law, Executive Director of Anxiety Canada, highlights the importance of this initiative for accessibility and inclusiveness in mental health.

The organization also uses its MindShift program, including the MindShift CBT app and group cognitive behavioral therapy program. This expansion into personalized services with TELUS Health makes it possible to meet the varied needs of patients, some requiring a more individualized approach to therapy.

Matt Chow of TELUS Health expressed his pride in this collaboration which should reduce wait times and financial barriers, thus providing faster access to essential care. They hope more people can receive the help they need before their condition worsens.
