Apollo Go and Waymo Expand Self-Driving Services

On March 19, 2025, in Beijing, Waymo and Apollo Go emerged as pioneers of autonomous driving. Waymo launched commercial operations in four major U.S. cities, providing approximately 150,000 weekly rides, demonstrating significant capacity for expansion. Meanwhile, Baidu's Apollo Go became the leader in autonomous mobility in China, with 1.1 million rides in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Apollo Go has implemented a fast-charging system for its RT6 autonomous vehicle, improving its efficiency. The company has also obtained licenses to operate in Hong Kong, paving the way for its expansion into international markets.
