Applied Dynamics International Teams Up with Boom Supersonic for Overture's Digital Engineering

Applied Dynamics International, Inc. (ADI), has entered into a collaborative agreement with Boom Supersonic to support the development of Overture, deemed the world’s fastest airliner designed for 100% sustainable aviation fuel use. This partnership aims to revolutionize supersonic flight sustainably, enhancing global connectivity.

ADI will be responsible for creating a highly automated digital engineering and testing system for Boom, integrating ADI’s ADEPT edge computing software. This platform will enable engineers to construct and deploy comprehensive models of Overture, aiding in the aircraft's design and developmental phases.

This initiative will utilize ADI's aircraft Digital Twin platform for simulated flight tests and integrated virtual aircraft testing, fostering advancements in the aerospace sector. Boom anticipates this collaboration will streamline Overture's development, attributing a significant role to ADI’s simulation software in achieving efficient, precise engineering outcomes.

The partnership also focuses on enhancing safety and reducing development costs through ADI's virtual and hardware-in-the-loop testing capabilities. Notably, ADI’s ADEPT software has been recognized for its contribution to virtual flight testing, marking a significant step forward in the aviation industry’s approach to designing and testing aircraft.
