Aputure Unveils Light Storm 600c Pro II with Enhanced Brightness and Weather Resistance

Aputure has announced the release of the Light Storm 600c Pro II, an advanced update to their versatile lighting fixture. The LS 600c Pro II offers nearly double the brightness, improved flicker-free performance, smoother dimming, and IP54 weather resistance, addressing feedback from users. These improvements make it suitable for a range of productions, including those with challenging conditions.

The LS 600c Pro II is compatible with Aputure's standard accessories and can be controlled wirelessly via the Sidus Link app. It will be showcased at the 2024 Cine Gear Expo in Burbank, California.

"Increased brightness and IP54 weather resistance will make a significant difference," said Ted Sim, Aputure co-founder and President. "Users have been asking for it. It is our job to deliver."

The LS 600c Pro II features a new LED emitter formulation that boosts its output by up to 85% with certain modifiers. It retains the Bowens mount, making it adaptable to various modifiers and maintaining compatibility with the Aputure ecosystem.

"Its output and durability are key reasons why it's always with me on set," stated cinematographer Chris Stacey. "And now it's brighter and tougher…? I'll take four."
