Arbonia considers the sale of its Climate division and reveals its annual results for 2023

On February 27, 2024, Arbonia announced that it had received several unsolicited offers to purchase its Climate division, formerly known as the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) division. Faced with these proposals, the board of directors decided to begin a structured sales process with several potential strategic buyers. This decision aims to sustainably increase shareholder value, with the intention of redistributing a significant portion of the sale proceeds, while reducing debt.

At the same time, Arbonia intends to develop and strengthen its Doors division through targeted acquisitions. The company also communicated its annual results for the year 2023, marked by a 9.2% drop in turnover due to a historic slowdown in the construction industry in most of its key markets. This situation has led to a reduction in product volume of up to 30% in some markets.

Despite the challenges, the group's operating cash flow improved significantly, going from -25.8 million CHF to 101.0 million CHF thanks in particular to a significant reduction in working capital requirements. The company expects a challenging environment for financial year 2024, while anticipating organic growth for the Climate division and improved profitability through the implementation of cost-saving measures.
