ARGAN Unveils 9,000 sq.m Fulfillment Centre in Lens
ARGAN has completed a new 9,000 square meter fulfillment centre in Vendin-le-Vieil, near Lens, after a 13-month construction period. Situated on a 7-hectare site adjacent to an ARGAN-owned property operated by CARREFOUR SUPPLY CHAIN, this facility is strategically located with direct connections to major highways, making it ideal for urban distribution. The site is leased for 12 years to a prominent international logistics group.
The modern facility comprises a 7,400 sq.m cross-dock hall with 71 loading bays and a 1,200 sq.m office area. ARGAN installed a 150 kWp rooftop solar plant for sustainable energy use. According to Ronan Le Lan, Chairman of ARGAN’s Executive Board, this development addresses the rising needs of e-commerce in a densely populated urban area.
