Arkema signs a biomethane contract with ENGIE

Arkema is further committed to decarbonization with a new biomethane contract signed with ENGIE. This eight-year partnership aims to supply 25 GWh/year of biomethane to power four Bostik sites in France: Coubert, Privas, Ribécourt, and Venette. This initiative covers approximately 85% of their annual gas consumption, strengthening Arkema's energy transition efforts.
This contract follows on from a previous agreement signed in early 2023 for the supply of 300 GWh/year of biomethane. Vincent Legros, Managing Director of the Adhesives segment, emphasizes the strategic importance of this approach in reducing the carbon footprint. ENGIE, through Edouard Chevalier, expresses its satisfaction at contributing to the decarbonization of Arkema's activities.
