Arras Minerals Launches IP Survey at Kazakhstan Site
Arras Minerals Corp. announced the initiation of two Vector Array Induced Polarization (VIP) surveys over the Aktasty and Maisor exploration targets in Kazakhstan. These surveys cover a total of 178 square kilometers and are part of a strategic alliance with Teck Resources Limited surrounding the operational Bozshakol Mine managed by Kaz Minerals. The surveys aim to identify new drill targets by integrating chargeability and resistivity data acquired to a depth of approximately 300 meters.
Aurora Limited has been contracted to carry out this groundbreaking geophysical work. Their team is utilizing advanced IP technology developed by Kennecott in the 1970s, specifically designed to explore beneath sedimentary covers in porphyry-rich terrains.
The region covered by the licenses, lying in the Bozshakol-Chingis magmatic arc, is known for its volcanic and plutonic formations with a potential for copper-gold mineralization. The surveys are expected to conclude within 45 days, marking an essential step in assessing the mineral potential hidden beneath Kazakhstan's challenging geological layers.
