Artist Travis Seeger Creates Stunning Kinetic Metal Sculpture Using Ball Chain Manufacturing Co., Inc.’s Stainless Steel Ball Chain

Mount Vernon, NY, July 2, 2024 - Travis Seeger, an artist based in Austin, Texas, has unveiled a new kinetic tree sculpture crafted from Ball Chain Manufacturing Co., Inc.'s (Ball Chain) quarter-inch stainless steel ball chain. This piece, made from thousands of feet of the chain, remains in continuous motion, responding to even slight winds.

Seeger used over 2 miles of the stainless steel ball chain, emphasizing its quality and consistency. "The ball chain's ability to stay untangled and its dynamic movement were essential," said Seeger. The sculpture, transported at speeds over 70 mph, remained untangled, showcasing the chain's durability and flexibility.

Seeger discovered Ball Chain through an online search and connected with Bill Taubner, President of Ball Chain. He praised the customer service and expertise provided by the company. The kinetic sculpture illustrates the innovative use of stainless steel ball chain in contemporary art, suitable for developers, landscapers, and architects.

Seeger's work, in collaboration with Ball Chain, highlights the artistic potential of materials. Ball Chain's product line ShimmerScreen® is already well-known in architectural design, offering customizable options for various installations.
