ARway.ai Acquires Map Dynamics, Adding $1.2M Revenue and $250K EBITDA in All-Stock Deal

Toronto-based ARway.ai, a no-code, AI-powered augmented reality platform, has completed its acquisition of Map Dynamics (MapD) in an all-stock transaction. The deal involves the exchange of 4 million ARway shares, initially valued at over $1 million, for MapD, a real-world mapping software company generating $1.2 million in annual revenue and $250,000 in EBITDA.

Evan Gappelberg, CEO of ARway.ai, expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting that it strengthens ARway’s position in the augmented reality and mapping technology markets. The integration aims to enhance ARway’s product offerings, creating new revenue channels through advanced indoor mapping solutions and interactive navigation maps.

The merger allows ARway to incorporate Map Dynamics' expertise in 2D and 3D mapping within its platform, enhancing user experience across various sectors such as shopping malls, airports, and universities. Additionally, the deal is expected to enable ARway to provide extensive map setup experiences for clients in retail, tourism, and healthcare.
