ARway.ai Partners with George Mason University for Augmented Reality Campus Navigation

ARway.ai has announced a new partnership with George Mason University (GMU) to enhance campus navigation and student experience using its augmented reality platform. The ARway technology will deploy ten spatial maps across GMU's 817-acre campus, aiming to improve the accessibility of campus resources for its extensive undergrad population of over 27,000 students.

The deployment, set to start in early summer, precedes a potential full campus rollout in 2025, part of a larger initiative to utilize cutting-edge technology for educational purposes. Plans for 2024 include an augmented reality tour to facilitate student navigation to various campus locations. George Mason University is also planning to use this opportunity to present its findings at several conferences and dedicate time for further research and development over the summer.

ARway.ai is committed to supporting GMU in creating a supportive and interactive educational environment. The initial testing at GMU has shown promising results in enhancing student interaction and boosting self-efficacy and belonging—crucial for college success. ARway is also actively involved in similar projects globally, with deployments at universities in Turkey, the EU, Indonesia, Pakistan, Canada, the UK, and Oman.
