Ascendant Resources Announces Special Shareholder Meeting

Ascendant Resources Inc. has announced the mailing and filing of notice for a special meeting of shareholders on May 6, 2025. This meeting, set to take place in Toronto, will address the acquisition proposal by Cerrado Gold Inc. for all issued and outstanding common shares of Ascendant not already owned by Cerrado or its affiliates. Shareholders on record as of March 12, 2025, are eligible to vote on resolutions related to this proposal, including a statutory plan of arrangement under Ontario's Business Corporations Act. The company's independent director recommends voting in favor of the arrangement.
