Aston Bay and American West Metals Confirm Expansion of High-Grade Copper Zones at the Storm Project, Nunavut, Canada
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. has released an update on the 2024 summer drilling program at the Storm Copper Project, Nunavut. The company, in partnership with American West Metals, has completed over 8,300 meters of drilling across 66 reverse circulation and diamond drill holes.
Significantly, Thunder Prospect has shown thick zones of visual copper mineralization in all nine drill holes, extending the strike of mineralization to over 300 meters. Notable intersections include 73.2 meters of copper sulfide in hole SR24-042 and 121.2 meters in hole SR24-034.
At Cyclone Prospect, thick intervals of copper sulfides were observed, particularly in holes SR24-031 and SR24-055, extending the known mineralization. Drilling continues to exceed 20,000 meters, with visual estimates supporting future resource delineation but laboratory assays needed for confirmation.
