Aston Bay and American West Metals Confirm High-Grade Copper at Nunavut Projects
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. and American West Metals announced significant drilling results at the Storm Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. Notable assays include an impressive 13.5% copper from drill hole SR24-057. Exploration drilling has been extensive, with 128 RC drill holes and 14 diamond drill holes completed in 2024, exceeding the planned 20,000 meters.
The Cyclone Deposit showed high-grade copper intervals, reinforcing its resource potential. Drill hole SR24-035, for instance, revealed 3.1 meters at 3.9% copper. Outside known areas, drill hole SR24-031 also returned encouraging results with 27.4 meters at 1.1% copper.
A new copper discovery, named 'Squall,' was made in an untested area south of the Thunder Prospect. This discovery followed drilling MLEM anomalies, which have proven effective in identifying copper mineralization. Further exploration is underway, targeting new EM anomalies in the Tornado and Blizzard areas.
