Aston Bay and American West Metals Report High-Grade Copper Discovery at Storm Project
The Storm Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada, operated by Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. and American West Metals Limited, has confirmed an expansive copper system at depth. The recent assay from drill hole ST24-01 revealed 10 meters of high-grade copper mineralization, including a significant interval with 3.7% Cu at 315.5 meters depth.
The discovery underlines the potential of the ‘Deep Copper Horizon’ to host extensive high-grade copper deposits. A second deep drill hole, ST24-02, positioned approximately 1,500 meters south of ST24-01, showed an impressive 99.2 meters of visual copper sulfide mineralization. Assay results are anticipated soon.
CEO Thomas Ullrich highlighted the strategic importance of these findings, noting both the substantial resource potential and the enhancement of geophysical modeling capabilities. This could lead to identifying even more lucrative copper intercepts in this vast and underexplored horizon.
