Aston Bay Initiates Airborne MobileMT Survey and Expands Claims at Epworth Project
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. announced the start of an 8,105 line-kilometre helicopter-borne MobileMT electromagnetic geophysical survey at its high-grade copper-silver Epworth Project in Nunavut, Canada. The survey aims to identify copper exploration targets and delineate regional and property-scale structures.
The company has added nine new claims, expanding the total claims package to 89,000 hectares. The recent prospecting, sampling, and mapping programs have been completed, resulting in nearly 400 rock samples and 44 lake sediment samples collected for assay, and 50 samples for petrological study.
The MobileMT survey utilizes natural electromagnetic fields from lightning strikes to detect subsurface anomalies. This method has been effective in similar mineralization projects and will be coupled with historical geophysical data to refine future drilling targets.
Technical advisors have conducted regional mapping and stratigraphic studies, improving the understanding of Epworth's mineralization. The expanded claim block will further facilitate drilling efforts anticipated for next year.
